Praying today that fear would not drive the choice to abort a pregnancy for anyone, whether the parties involved are married or single, young or old.
So many times, the decision to abort a baby comes within 72 hours after finding out about the pregnancy. This tendency to act quickly to “solve” the “problem” is not usually the best way to proceed. What a person typically feels about a pregnancy, especially an unplanned pregnancy, is initially fear and panic. Those are emotions that don’t take into account the long–term consequences of the choice.
Some wisdom from the Lord:
1. Don’t let fear drive your choices.
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” I John 4:18
2. Don’t make a decision before you have all the facts - not opinions, but facts.
“He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him.” Proverbs 18:13
